Celebrity Cruise Smoking Policies.
Beginning
October 1, 2008, guests on Celebrity's ships will enjoy fresher air
as a result of a new policy that will no longer permit smoking in Celebrity's staterooms
or on stateroom verandas. The policy also will reduce the number of public areas in which
guests can smoke onboard.
Celebrity Cruise Lines has one of the strictest non-smoking policies of all the major
cruise lines operating in the Caribbean seas. The no-smoking policy is strictly enforced
inside any stateroom or on any stateroom veranda. Smoking is also prohibited in any dining
venue, casino, theater, hallway, elevator or corridor.
Celebrity warns that any violations to their smoking policy will result in a $250 cleaning
fee to be charged to the guest's onboard account. Additionally the incident may also be
addressed through Celebrity Cruises' Guest Conduct Policy.
Cigarette smoking will only be permitted in designated areas of the ship, while cigar
and pipe smoking will only be permitted in designated outdoor areas. Any guest wishing
to to purchase, possess or use tobacco onboard a Celebrity cruise ship or on any cruise
tours must be at least 18 years of age.
Smoke Free Cabins.
Finally, passengers that dislike the smell of stale cigarettes or smoldering cigars have
a new choice for a clean fresh room and a cruise for a healthier lifestyle from a fresher
and greatly improved environment all thanks to the efforts of Celebrity ships.
Celebrity has some of the most stringent policies on smoking of all the major cruise
lines. These policies have come from their continued efforts to offer a safe and healthful
environment for all their guests and staff.
